Frequently Asked Questions

How does DispatchPro work for contractors?
Contractors apply, get verified (license, insurance, bonding), and are added to our registry. When a homeowner submits a service request, our dispatch engine matches the job to the best-fit contractor by trade, location, and availability. The contractor accepts, completes the job, and pays a $25-75 per-booking fee.
How much does DispatchPro cost for contractors?
Zero upfront. Zero monthly fee. You pay only $25-75 when a job you receive actually confirms. Standard jobs are $25, premium jobs (water heater, panel upgrade, new installation) are $50-75.
What trades does DispatchPro support?
Currently: plumbing, HVAC/heating and cooling, electrical, and appliance repair. We are expanding as contractor density grows in DeKalb County, IL.
How are leads assigned — first come first served?
No. Our dispatch engine assigns based on trade match, geographic radius from the job location, contractor's current availability status, and historical close rate. Best fit wins, not whoever checks their phone first.
Can I reject a job once I receive it?
Yes. You can decline any job without penalty. The lead goes back into the pool and gets matched to the next available contractor. We don't force assignments.
Do homeowners pay for DispatchPro?
No. DispatchPro is free for homeowners. Our revenue comes from the per-booking fee paid by contractors. Homeowners never pay to use the service.
How do I get paid for jobs?
You collect payment directly from the homeowner — cash, check, or card. DispatchPro does not take a cut of your job revenue, only the flat booking fee. We also offer integrated Stripe payment processing so homeowners can pay by card.
What if a job doesn't close — do I still pay?
No. The booking fee is only charged when a job actually confirms (homeowner accepts your quote and schedules). If you quote a job and the customer doesn't book, there's no charge.
